Tegan Haining Workout: The morning routine I swear by to set me up for a great day.

Tegan Haining (https://teganhaining.com) is a globally respected fitness and wellbeing expert who has been transforming bodies with incredible success for over nine years. Here she shares her morning routine with Lux Nomade.

My morning routine is my everything, a good morning routine will set you up for a great day, keeping you energised, focused and that feeling of accomplishment. With everything that is going on at the moment, I find that my routine is even more important, as it can be easy to fall off the bandwagon.

I am currently waking up at around 7 am and the first thing I like to do is drink 2 glasses of water to rehydrate my body and then my Chinese herbs which come as a tea which improve my blood circulation and immunity.

I then like to move my body and at the moment I am doing Fluidform At Home Pilates, which I will do before breakfast, as I like to work out on an empty stomach.

The workouts are short but you can string a few of them together to make them as long as you like. Pilates is excellent to achieve and maintain a strong foundation for when you’re ready to hit the gym again.

9 am hits, and I then like to make my breakfast, 90% of the time it is eggs, I love eggs, they keep me full all morning and it is so much you can do with them.

My current favourite is:

2 eggs fried in coconut oil

W/ avocado & tomato on 1 slice toasted sourdough

Once I have breakfast I will finish it off with a cup of BeforeYouSpeak Coffee. For those who haven’t yet had it, do yourself a favour and try it! It’s loaded, with ingredients such as MCT oil, turmeric, black pepper and Siberian ginseng, this blend of coffee has added benefits like anti-inflammatory properties. I find drinking this keeps my mind focused on the tasks I need to do and my sugar cravings to a bare minimum.

By this point I am ready to tackle the day, so I will then look at my diary, and see what I have on and write down my to-do list for the day.
