Hotel Casa Lucia marks the first venture outside of Spain for Único Hotels’. Housed within the historic Edificio Mihanovich, once the tallest building in Latin America, it’s designed to offer spectacular views of the Río de la Plata. Located less than an hour from New York City, the latest Pendry to open its doors will be surrounded by 400 acres of rolling hills, manicured lawns, and beautifully conserved woodlands. Originally built in 1912, the 66-room Tudor-style mansion, formerly owned by the King of Morocco, is being restored into a hotel with 24 adjoining contemporary residences.
The signature hotel restaurant, Ninety Acres and its cookery school will feature a farm-to-fork culinary offering with seasonal produce sourced from the estate’s sustainable farm produce. The lounge, set in the mansion’s grand room will be a place to gather for afternoon tea delights and evening drinks. 21 Carpenter, Singapore (2024)
Formerly a remittance house and hailed as the birthplace of banking in Singapore, 21 Carpenter showcases four 1930s four-storey shophouses restored by the award-winning architecture firm WOHA, alongside a contemporary five-storey extension.
The 48-key hotel is a member of Design Hotels and showcases a collection of artworks curated by The Artling as well as bespoke amenities crafted by local artisans.
The newly opened hotel will also house Kee’s, an exciting dining destination helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Andrew Walsh, which will open in early 2024.
ME Lisbon, Portugal (2024)
Perfectly positioned to explore all the Portuguese capital has to offer, ME Lisbon is set to open its doors in 2024. Showcasing the brand’s signature avant-garde design with high-quality service and a variety of culinary offerings including a Radio Rooftop Bar with panoramic views of the city, and over 600m2 of meeting and event space. 25hours Hotel, Sydney ( December 2024)
Developed by leading Sydney property developer Central Element (CE) and joint venture partner Boston Global Group, it is scheduled to open in December 2024 as Australia’s first 25hours hotel.

International, award-winning architect-designer Jean-Michel Gathy has been appointed by Aman as the first designer to lead its new sister brand, Janu. The opening of its first hotel, Janu Tokyo, is set for Q1 of 2024. Translated as ‘soul’ in Sanskrit, the new Janu brand will deliver an elevated guest experience akin to Aman, while providing a spirited social scene in contrast to Aman’s whisper-quiet seclusion. The ‘Modern Urban Village’, Azabudai Hills, is a visionary lifestyle hub surrounded by green spaces and a focus on wellbeing, which seeks to nurture purposeful connection.

International, award-winning architect-designer Jean-Michel Gathy has been working on one of his most exciting new projects, designing the first urban hotel for One&Only. One&Only One Za’abeel Dubai is visually striking and powerful, and there’s a dramatic entrance to set the tone of the design as well as a beautiful rooftop pool.
One&Only One Za’abeel is described as a “vertical resort”, located in a twin-tower development with “The Link” connecting the two, which will be the epicentre of the resort’s dining experiences.
