Lux Nomade tries ‘The Angel Collection’ – the new energy-focused wellness therapy from Venustus Australia

It’s a rare and beautiful thing to meet a person so aligned with their purpose in life that their energy is reflected in everything they do. This much is absolutely true for Jeannie Bourke – a multi-certified therapist and founder of Venustus, Paddington’s holistic wellness salon and beauty lab.

For over thirty years, Jeannie has been working with a team of expert therapists and healers to offer a range of treatments that combine high-level bodywork and beauty treatments with spiritual healing. We visited Jeannie’s Palo Santo scented space to experience one of the latest treatments: The 11 11 Venustus Treatment Package from The Angel Collection.

“People connect with the spiritual side on different levels, but if they want to experience a tarot reading, a smudging ceremony, or a sound bowl session to help them drop in, it’s something we love to offer,”- Jeannie Bourke, Founder of Venustus

Before arriving at Venustus, you’ll complete a form that asks you to reflect on your overall wellness – allowing Jeannie and her team to craft a treatment package that will best serve your personal physical and spiritual needs.

Entering the space, you’ll be greeted with a kind of energy that inspires instant calm: perhaps the cumulative result of the decades of healing that have taken place within its walls.

After a chat with your therapist and herbal tea served in a handmade ceramic mug (made during lockdown by the father of one of the therapists), you’ll have the option to experience a reading before your treatment.

“People connect with the spiritual side on different levels, but if they want to experience a tarot reading, a smudging ceremony, or a sound bowl session to help them drop in, it’s something we love to offer,” Jeannie explains.

Venustus

The 11 11 treatment is designed to encourage introspection and intuition: to help people connect directly to their higher powers. After settling into your treatment room, you’ll experience a Four Hand Body Massage – a combination of Swedish and Lymphatic massage techniques carried out by two highly skilled therapists in perfect sync. The body treatment is followed by a Cocoon Facial Treatment: one of Venustus’ signature facial treatments which is designed to restore inner peace and encourage a return to a state of equilibrium. Combining scalp, neck and arm massage with the use of hot towels, Gua sha tools, four different exfoliants and three different organic facial peels, it’s a facial that offers so much more than its aesthetic benefits.

In line with the Venustus ethos, the 11 11 Angel Treatment has spiritual and energetic healing at its heart, and this is something you’ll experience throughout the treatment: through the initial opening of the space to the use of crystals to the light, aligned sensation that will overcome you as the two hours come to a close.
