Described as ‘an eclectic mix of design, art, luxury, style and a touch of quirk’ the hotel does live up to the expectations offering a cutting-edge ambience which is both theatrical, entertaining and seductive.

The QT King Delux room comes with 24-hour room service, a comfortable King Bed, work space, bathroom with a shower and freestanding bath as well as a quirky ‘Willy-Wonka style’ mini-bar.

In this room, the party starts before you’ve even made it half-way through the hallway. A side table, draped with all the ingredients you need to shake up your own Espresso Martini, is on display just screaming to be used. Even as a non-Martini drinker, I’m tempted.

When entering the bedroom a strong scent of Coco Chanel’s iconic fragrance Chanel N°5 hits your nostrils only to remind you that although this is a real rock-n-roll hotel, there’s still plenty of class.

As expected the interior design doesn’t let the hotel’s quirkiness down. With a faux-fur spread across the bed, black designer plastic lamps and a colourful mat decorating the room, you’d almost expect Brian Ferry from Roxy Music pop up behind the armchair.

And entertainment is not something the hotel is short of. With an impressively large selection of great complimentary in-room movies, complimentary Wi-Fi, a Nespresso machine and a mini-bar equipped to feed an army I had to come up with good reasons to leave the room.
