The Naman Retreat, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World is the first wellness retreat in Vietnam. With a strong wellness focus, the unique luxury resort has won four global awards of excellence including ‘Best Wellness Retreat in Vietnam’. And it’s not difficult to see why. Arriving at Naman Retreat immediately evokes a sense of serenity. The specular drive-away up to the main reception (the building is incredibly impressive in itself) boasts bamboo clad stone residences, lush green hanging gardens, and beautiful flowers, creating a sense of entering an oasis. The reception area is found in the astonishing wooden building which boasts high ceilings decorated with white stones and wooden features. Whilst enjoying a healthy welcome drink I soak up the relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere which immediately evokes a feeling of calmness. When checking in, guests are encouraged to leave the busy world behind and totally relax surrounded by beautiful nature. There is also a great emphasis on personalised service. All guests, are, for example, appointed a private assistant who is available for any questions and requests over Whatsapp. The service adds a nice personal touch and turns out to be very efficient.

Apart from the award-winning spa, villas, residences and hotel rooms, the retreat boasts several stunning communal areas. The large infinity pool overlooks the ocean and makes a spectacular centrepiece of the resort. Guests can make the most of the beach/pool area by enjoying a coffee or lunch at the Sitini Bar or enjoy their meal poolside. For those looking to burn off calories after the breakfast buffet (which is one of the most impressive buffets I’ve ever encountered), there’s a second pool on the other side of the resort which is perfect for morning and/or afternoon laps.
