There are lots to see and do for those wanting to explore the area with several local attractions on the doorstep. The Machalilla National Park, as well as the Isla de la Plata off the coast of Puerto López, are both worth a visit. For those interested in history there are tours available to the Archeological Site of AguaBlanca in Salango as well as Finca Punta Ayambe which is one of the most popular spots of for exploring on the cultural and historical background of Ecuador. With its rich history, visitors to San Clemente also have the opportunity to experience the ancient Manteña-Guancavilca culture.
