The hotel recently underwent a renovation inspired by minimal design and bohemian aesthetics (think Greek island meets Tulum). The result is a colour palette highlighting the crips white walls with accent colours such as different earthy shades of brown, beige and grey. Natural materials are being used such as wood and stone to add to the authentic feel. The 21 rooms are individually designed following the earthy theme. The Deluxe Rooms (22-25 square meters) offer sea view from the balcony. In addition, the room features a king-size bed, a TV, an open wardrobe (an excellent way to keep the room airy and spacious) as well as a stunning bathroom with clay walls and an impressive rain shower. There are also luxury amenities on hand including a Nespresso machine and several candles to up the romantic mood in the evenings. Bathrobes and slippers and towels are all in great quality and the shampoo and conditioner get a thumbs-up by me.

Breakfast in the health-conscious restaurant

The award-winning breakfast is served daily from 8 am – 11 am in the Reeza Restaurant by friendly staff who will say “kalimera” (good morning in Greek), whist pouring you a great cup of coffee (as strong as you ask for) and presenting you with the extensive a la carte menu which is served in addition to the breakfast buffet. Put your sunglasses on, kick back and enjoy the morning sun together with a fresh orange juice, soy latte, Greek yoghurt and perhaps even a naughty local sweet pastry whilst overlooking the stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

And if you are looking for yummy vegan food look no further then your breakfast menu since many of the tasty dishes are vegan honouring the hotel’s healthy and authentic food ethos. In fact, everything on the menu is made from locally sourced ingredients celebrating the Greek cuisine whenever possible. A must-try is the ‘Greek Eggs Benedict’ served with dill and feta cheese or the ‘Saganaki’ eggs served with fresh tomatoes and feta cheese.
