7. La Manufacture d’Opium
After a long day on the bikes why not enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in the stylish Indochinese-styled bar La Manufacture d’Opium? Sink into one of the leather armchairs, soak in the atmosphere and let yourself get transported back in time whilst sipping on one of the exotic cocktail made from Cambodian Khmer rum.

Vo Quoc Thach, the hotel’s Vietnamese chef, marries local Vietnamese flavours with classic elements of the French culinary tradition. The name of the restaurant, which is decorated with old family photos on the walls, is a tribute to Michel’s grandparents who spent 25 years living in Halong Bay during the French presence in Vietnam.
