Julia Gralberg Editor of Lux Nomade shares her packing tips

Packing light and avoid checking in your luggage! We chat to Lux Nomade’s editor Julia Gralberg who shares her top packing tips.

Julia, tell us about you, who you are and what you do and how often you travel

I’m the editor of Lux Nomade I also work as a lifestyle photographer and run a boutique content consultancy. I frequently travel between South of Spain and London where I live. I also travel within Europe and Asia-Pacific quite regularly for work.

City-break or beach-holiday? How do you pack for each?

Both! If I travel to a city I always pack (depending on the season) a coat, a pair of boots and jeans. For beach-holidays is all about bikinis and kaftans for me and comfortable sandals which I can wear during the day and well into the evenings.

What are the three things you always pack for any trip?

Apart from the obvious I never go anywhere without a good facial wash, a notepad and a well-charged iPhone.

What are the beauty products you never travel without?

Dry shampoo! A good moisturiser, a tinted BB-cream with SPF30 and a travel-size container with CK Euphoria.

What’s your best packing tip?

Pack light and pack multi-purpose clothes and never check in your luggage. Make sure you have all your toiletries under 100ml and wear your bulkiest shoes and jacket/coats to free up space in the suitcase. Pack your own snacks for a long-haul flight and bring an external iPhone charger.

What’s your favourite destination and why?

I simply can’t just mention one, there are too many. At the moment I’m re-discovering Europe all over again and would probably say Italy and Almalfi coast to be more specific. I also have an upcoming trip to Marrakesh planned which is a destination I’ve been wanting to visit for a while now.
